This number is legit and i got a call from them early last month saying they were unicef Ireland,and were intervening for kids in yemen asking me to sign up which i did ,gave them my bank details and on the first of this month after receiving a postal letter from unicef welcoming me to the team then i realised 16€ was deducted on the first of may cause it was a direct debit and it showed unicef Ireland .Therefore it is legit.Guys either u choose to help out charities or u dont.

They called me today saying they were Unicef and it was an Irish man aged 30s-40s I told them to call back later but it definitely seemed like a scam. Will never give my bank details over the phone.

They called me last month, it's about the Yemen Crisis. I also called UNICEF 01 878 3000 to cross-check with the advisor whom I was talking to is legit or not, they confirmed the details and it was an authentic call.

I am donating to Unicef Ireland as I got a call from them and asked to call back then I checked the website and every info I got was corresponding with what the sales rep said over the phone. If you do want to donate, please go ahead if not don’t write false reviews about what you know nothing of.

Rang me today and said from unicef, asking for donation and when i said im not comfortable giving details over the phone she said it will not deduct right away and this girl names sonia strong negirian accent told shes legit telling her life story and shes her self a donor, then i said, u call back tom i will ask my husband, then she hang up.

Really if this phone number is legit they should not be asking for bank details over the phone especially in the times we are in. I mean seriously its ridiculous and it frightens people. I will donate but I will never give my details over the phone.

Unicef are using a telephone software for their fundraising staff working from home. This provides the number which has been verified by some of the posts above. Over the last year people are shopping online, paying online, which can be done on your phone, as it is a pc in your hand, if you can do it for that, you can also do it to donate to charity. If you wish to donate, donate. If you don't don't - stop spreading malicious gossip which is untrue. The impact is you are impeding the work of charities in supporting those less well off in need than you.
