Called this morning. A well spoken foreign sounding lady, who gave her name. Asked me for 3 of my personal details, as per one of the comments above. I asked her about GDPR. Didn't give a convincing answer. Informed her that I wasn't giving personal details to a seemingly 'cold call'. End of conversation.

This number just called me it was Dublin number showing on my phone at 19:57 on Monday evening. I do not pick up strange numbers and left it ring so went to my voicemail, where good spoken foreigner left me message he is from electric Ireland and to call him back. Firstly what company working till 8pm?? Secondly if there is offer on or whatever reason, shouldn't they have recognisable numbers which tells us straight away who is calling? Another thing is they have my email so if they contacting us we should receive it by mail too unless we didn't ask for marketing calls and mails. I'm gonna ring electric Ireland tomorrow and ask them if they have someone using this number and will see, for now neutral as there isn't enough proof it's dangerous, but better be safe than sorry.

I received a text message telling me it was Electric Ireland and that they would ring me during the week, to discuss my contract.they even wrote down the number they'll ring me from.scam if you ask me, why would they give me their number?

Whoever is experiencing this issue please call back on the Electric Ireland Sales number and ask for the person who called you. I had a missed call from a guy named Vishal. I called back on that number got through to the sales team and got my self a new contract and some loyalty offer. I must say I was doubtful in the start as he was asking me to confirm 3 of my details but once I did he did not ask me for anything else after that and as it turns out it was a genuine call. Sorry for all the people who did not receive it.

this number called me, said they were electric ireland, how do i know they are electric ireland?? they said the call was being recorded etc. Then the asked for my full name and address. If they had that info why did hey as? They quoted GDPRS! I said email me please.
